I'm a Pastor, Author and Artist that leveled up and married my college sweetheart Lucy. We have two beautiful daughters; Deyana and Sophia... and a new pandemic puppy named Bailey! As you can see it's all ladies in the house... pray for me!

We've been in church leadership for over 20 years and our church has grown from a handful of people to a few thousand that call our church home. Our church is super diverse as we are multi-ethnic, multi-generational and multi-class. We love our city & look like our city! 

In 2010 we rebuilt a former Toys R' Us store and retro-fitted 43,000 square feet into our church. It's been an amazing journey as we've seen thousands come to Jesus and over 1,500 baptized in the past decade. 

The majority of our growth comes from unchurched and dechurched people. Our church has become known for its outreach, creativity and of course our music. We don't want to keep this to ourselves, so we've created resources to help other churches win.

I'm also a Hip-Hop/Spoken Word artist (Urban D.) that has recorded 9 albums and ministered at over a thousand venues. Our church hosts the Flavor Fest Leadership Conference and Music Festival that has trained over 5,000 leaders. I host a leadership podcast under the Flavor Fest brand. I've personally coached over 100 pastors and church planters and currently coach leaders through the Innovative Pastors Network. 

My wifey is the Director of the Chosen Women's Ministry at our church and she is a certified life coach that is actively involved in teaching, leading & mentoring women. She co-authored a book called, "The Seed Was Always There" and has a blog page called chosenpieces.com. As you can see, we have a passion to see people reach their God-given potential!
